It took me soooo long because I was whose decorated (had a lot of deadlines, family issues and information technology was my altogether) but I just finished book 7. And knowing what happens next volume and now that I'grand older, I tin can say that we could come across it all coming. alright. michael leaving for japan! beginning thing nosotros desire to say is that michael could have cleaved the news meliorate. nosotros know mia was probably super annoying about the whole affair, but given that it'southward MIA, information technology should accept been handled in a different way. with different reactions that don't include laughing when your girlfriend is sobbing her eyes out in a park at night. michael's reasons to go to japan are perfectly understandable and it's good he went. not only does he want to Be SOMEONE other than her boyfriend, merely it'due south also his passion. the man creates things. he'southward a fucking genius, of course this was going to happen anytime. the fact that a nineteen twelvemonth onetime could make a robotic arm that performs surgery is INSANE. michael is very obviously killing two birds with ane stone. not merely is he kicking off his career, but he's also making himself worthy of a royal. yous can imagine the pressure. and then while these reasons are very valid, homie should have been a little nicer about information technology with mia LMAO.

hahahaha i dont recollect if it was my first fic, but i remember writing a princess diaries fic back in elementary school. it was mia/michael moscovitz and mia defenseless michael adulterous considering she constitute an earring that wasnt hers nether the bed. affair was, i ripped the entire plot of the fic from another fic i read, and the author called me out.
i would love to reread it (it's long gone by this point, though), but i would admittedly be horrified.

One of my new year's day's resolutions was to read more than - fics and books! Each month I'll share with you what I've been reading. I'thousand always looking for recs, so ship them my mode!
This calendar month I brutal in love again with an erstwhile serial, gave up on a new one, and started attacking my behemothic to read list.
Finished: The Princess Diaries (Princess Diaries #i) by 1000000 Cabot If you've been with me and my weblog for whatsoever longer than week, you'll know that I'chiliad obsessed with The Princess Diaries and Meg Cabot. Non just was it the get-go DVD I ever purchased (hullo 2001) ((at a Babbage's no less!!!)), but Meg Cabot has been the near influential writer in my writing life.
Now back to the volume -- I haven't read this series in most 10 years, and I tin't believe how much I'd forgotten. Firstly, it shocked me how immature Mia is (14!!) and her mental attitude--specifically toward non-Americans--is not a good look and I sincerely hope Cabot wouldn't rewrite this volume today with such glib whilst hammering you over the head with how politically Liberal Mia and her mother are. That being said, I'chiliad still wowed by Cabot's ability to create such lively, well-rounded characters through the window of a teen girl's diary. I observe Mia generally annoying--as most fourteen year olds are--but her story is nigh and love to my heart and I know she gets meliorate in hereafter installments, so onward I become. kasi rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bonus: I rewatched the film recently, and when completely disregarding the volume and merely considering the movie, I admittedly love it. Information technology'due south so fun and pure and sweetness, and I nevertheless want to attempt pizza with g&ms.
Princess in the Spotlight (Princess Diaries #two) past Meg Cabot The second installment in this serial picks upwardly right where we left off from the get-go -- literally I remember there's two days in between. It's a not bad continuation that deals with Mia and her newfound notoriety. The protectiveness she has over her female parent is adorable and I love how her human relationship and appreciation for her father is adult. The theme of this novel is definitely growth - Mia growing into her role as a princess, growing into her new family, growing with her friends, and her overall outlook improving. Mia'due south much less annoying in this book, and I'thousand fix to read #iii--just I'm not fix for her inevitable relationship with Michael Moscovitz. Obvi, when I was a freshman I wanted nothing more than than to be noticed by a senior. But as I adult I can now recognize how dissimilar 14 and 17 year olds are, and I actually, actually, actually wish Michael were closer to Mia's age or that their relationship pauses until she's older. kasi rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Currently Reading: The Wife Between U.s. by Greeg Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen A handful of chapters in and I'm digging it. I oasis't devoured it yet, only I can feel it coming. Information technology feels a fiddling Daughter on the Train-y (Vanessa's grapheme) with a twist of Gillian Flynn (Nellie's character reminds me of watered down, more timid version of the lead in Sharp Objects). I already know I'm gonna hate Richard, just I can't wait to find out why.
Gave Upwardly: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon I hate Claire. It 100% stems from the show, and I just can't get over it enough to trudge through the books. I also remember that if I would take bought it for Kindle instead of a physical copy I'd read more of it. It's so easy to pull out my phone and read 3-4 chapters whenever, wherever, but with this large, physical copy I find myself struggling to want to read information technology. So information technology's shelved for now. Perchance I'll come up dorsum to it and then read the later on books on Kindle. Nosotros'll see.
